Consuner Direct - going, gone?

Yes, I know there's Consumer Focus website, but I've always found chatting to Consumer Direct's friendly (and helpful) staff to be far more productive for any problems. However, I've heard that the call centre has lost the contract, staff are leaving in droves, and service has deteriorated. Is this true? If so, they'll be missed....

Can't answer the point about their status and future but I fully endorse your praise for CD. I have dealt with them on matters of energy and other trading standards issues and have always found them helpful, knowledgeable and action takers.0
