  • Hi all - try this new site - www.stuff2send.com.
You upload your item, and get couriers and people making you offers - and then you can call them each and check their credentials.
And because you're using existing journeys, shouold be cheaper!
  • Does anyone know of a cheap courier that would be able to collect a glass table in essex and deliver to me in Manchester? The table would only be wrapped in bubble wrap and is very expensive so it would need to be handled carefully.

Any ideas? Do you think going via Parcel2Go would be ok?

    Thank you

  • Just wanted to bump this thread; I'm looking for a cheap, reliable courier to send parcels of 10-20 kg nationwide. Nothing urgent, I don't mind if delivery takes 2-3 days. Suggestions welcome

People might not spot your post on this old thread, but you might get a better response on this thread:

There is quite a bit of choice actually, but I'm sure people on that thread will offer personal experience to help you choose.

Your table needs to be wrapped properly. If packaging is inadequate it will not be insured and possibly will not be covered by insurance anyway by many carriers as it is glass. Don't rely on Parcel2Go or any other carrier will not take special care of anything!

I would have thought that you need to use a specialist remover not a carrier. This will not be cheap but maybe you can send it with a remover going back empty or as a part load.

I used sendingparcels.com the other day and found them to be really cheap and you know it is in safe hands as you take it to your nearest drop off point where they are experienced with parcel delivery. my parcel cost £14.95 to send as it weighed nearly 30kg.
