Good evening every one
here is a good one for you all to digest, early in November i visited a retail site in Bristol to browse for a new bike for my daughter. after visiting 2 shops i came back to find a ticket on the windscreen. after finding the bod who put it on there he confirmed it was a ticket for going off site. i asked for proof and surprise he couldnt supply any and he also mentioned he didnt allegedly see me but someone else did. i fired off a letter to ukpc the next day telling them to bin the charge as they had no evidence to back there claim, i received a letter back 2 days later saying i had to prove with a RECEIPT from a shop that i used the facilities at the site and if i could not the charge would stand. God did i laugh it seems you cant browse in shops anymore according to these cowboys.

Classic. :T
Any old excuse and a PPC will slap a fake parking ticket on your windscreen, because it's all about money and nothing to do with car park 'management'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What we "need" are barrier operated shops, maybe the poster could suggest it to the ppc, I'm sure it would go down well with the centre.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Because it's a well known tenet of British law that one has to prove one's innocence rather than the "prosecutor" proving guilt - NOT . Can you imagine them going to court and trying that one on to get to you prove you didn't leave the shopping centre?... i had to prove with a RECEIPT from a shop that i used the facilities at the site and if i could not the charge would stand.
Not that guilty or innocent is relevant here, as it's not a criminal matter.
Muppets, all of them.0 -

They have a ticket entry barrier system at the Bayview in Colwyn Bay.
get the ticket stamped in a machine stay longer than 2 hours and pay the fee up to 2 hours free the stamped ticket operates the exit, no PPC no invoices nearly everyone is happy.0 -
UPDATE, yesterday i received my first letter from ukpc saying i am being naughty by not paying and i now have to pay £90 blah blah blah. This bit made me laugh, the so called offence was of leaving the retail site and their proof (get ready) was a picture of my car parked in a parking bay with a ticket on the windscreen and nothing of me so say walking off site. Cant wait to go to court with this evidence0

Like to see them wriggle out of an unfair penalty under UCTA on that one0 -
i wonder if this was the game at the peterlee asda today, customers free to park and one of the parasites from town and city parking paying a lot of attention especially around the front screens, makes me wonder if hes got a bit of a sideline going on tax discs as well, i had hoped he was going to go near my vehicle again as i had left the window down enough for both the dogs which i had taken with me to add thier own `tickets`
unfortunately i never had my phone with me or i was going to take a couple of snaps of the said parasite0
