Hi everyone,

Just bought a Owl monitor to work how how mush energy it costs to run certain items, and see if can lower my bill.

But you need to work out cost per hour, but unsure if i have worked this out

I'm with BG and websaver 11 tariff

The cost is

Tier 1 26.760
Tier 2 11.778

And according to Owl this how you work it out.
Can a tiered Tariff be entered into the OWL Monitor?
The OWL Monitor does not have tiered tariff functionality input/operation.

For a tiered tariff we recommend that you enter an average tariff value in Tariff 1, calculated from your typical billed kWh usage (monthly/quarterly) and assuming the following example then Total cost of kWh would be 210kWh @ 20.90p & 690kWh at 10.00p equalling £125.43. The average tariff value would be £125.43 divided by 900kWh giving 13.94p.

140 kWh x 25.486 £35.68
1379 kWh x 11.217 p £154.68

190.36

1519.0 kWh used

So is this 12.5p an hour? Or my maths totally wrong?

Any advice on this would be very helpful.
