Barclaycard that has replaced Egg card - problems

Hi

I wondered whether anyone else has had problems using their Barclaycard that was sent to replace their Egg card.

I have had problems with using it to top up my T-Mobile pay as you go phone. When trying to register the card it says it is a "non UK" one.

Needless to say both T Mobile and Barclaycard customer services have been useless about this...

There are about three threads already about the changeover but I don't remember reading about this particular problem.

I have had problems using it at the "pay ay pump" at my local Esso station.
It would appear that these are a new number range.
I have heard that this is the retailers issue as they have not uploaded the new numbers into their system.
I have a complaint open with Barclaycard (after trying about 5 different terminals and getting a new card) but some say it isn't Barclays fault.
I don't think the call center bods would have a clue - but I don't like being fobbed off with "try another terminal".
If they don't know they should say so and escalate the issue, not just make something up.
