EDF change switching date randomly?!

Hi guys

Just wondered if anyone else has had anything similar to this happen:

First of all, gas and electric switch form done from E-on to EDF - all good.

Then, contact from EDF to say that's fine blah blah, then they tell us that the switch will take place on 13 December 2011 and they need meter readings around that date.

Meter readings provided 12 December 2011.

Now, log back into EDF account and it says that the switch is expected 8 January 2012!!!!!!!!

What's that all about?!

Just wondered if anyone else had experienced the same?

Thanks all

  • Last November I filled out forms online to switch to EDF :o

Had dates for late December for completion.
Then these changed for no reason to a couple of days later...
Then the electric went through on the 30th December...
And the gas finally after another 2 different dates on the 10th January...

EDF didn't know why they kept changing either :o
So to your question... yes it seems it is normal for EDF :D

And good luck if you ever need to ring them ;)
Or access your online account weekends...
Thats if you ever get online access ;)

:rotfl: Sounds like we made a good decision then doesn't it?!?!

At least I know that it's normal now and I'm not alone - I already know not to bother giving them adhoc meter readings.

    Thanks :)
