Halifax Interest Rate Reduction

From 16 May 2005, if you pay less than £1,000 into your Halifax Current Account for two consecutive months or more, the amount of interest paid on your credit balance will change to 0.10% AER regardless of the balance on your account.

In other words, they have reduced the interest rate from 0.5% to 0.1%!

The interest rate remains unchanged (@3.04%) if you pay in £1,000 or more per month.

Only 2% less than A&L are still offering new customers on their Premier Plus Current A/C then!

(2.46% less than I'm getting until then end of the year)
