Got a card through for the kids and someone has opened it and eaten their chocolate:mad: I'm livid. Who can I complain to? Tried ringing Royal Mail but their automated line sent me in circles.

MrsD I think if you keep pressing the star button you should get through to a human xx

Do you have twitter? You could try tweeting @RoyalMail - they might reply when other people can read what you say.
  • I did tweet them and all they said was to fill in a form and send the damaged packaging off.
  • You need a lost/damaged/delayed mail form. Take photos before you send it off and keep them somewhere safe and make sure you write everything down including condition, dates it arrived, date you sent the complaint, date they answered you etc. I've had a lot of complaints to Royal Mail so it's best to make notes in case they decide to be awkward.

Anything sent this time of year runs a risk of going walkies or getting damaged by the temps they take on so although you can't stop using the post altogether, you can still complain to them. There is a number somewhere that puts you through to a human but as the poster above said, just keep pressing the button until they answer.

Thanks everyone. Found out the same thing happened to a friend so it must be in the local sorting office. Makes me wonder how many prizes have gone missing
