This relates a bit to an earlier post. having saved all year have booked first summer holidau for 3 years. 5 nights Vegas, 5 Miami cost £3400 For 3 adults) did through going places today and have paid £380 on visa card (not credit card).
First hotel reiews were iffy but acceptable, however have checked out reviews for Miami hotel and they are DIRE!
I'd rather lose my deposit than go now. This is a nightmare.
I will try to contact Going Places as soon as possible to upgrade or change or something
What can i do??

providing its avail you will be able to chage the hotel. if you contact themtomoz there maybe a chance they will change it free of charge.
what operator is it booked with?
Like is it tradewinds, virgin or kuoni?'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Tradewinds, through going places. it took all afternoon to book0

ok. there post booking dept is closed tomorrow so on mon go into the store and say that you have read the awful reviews. ask if you change the miami hotel. you should be able to do this. they will prob try to charge you £25 per person to do this but ask the agent if he/she can get tradewinds to waiver this as you only booked it over the weekend. they may/may not as these review sites are not covered by any regualtions.. basically anyone can say what they want about any hotel..
try and print them out as well... and see if the same is said on other review sites as well. it may take a while to sort out as tradewinds are extremely busy at mo (took me 1 hour to even get through to someone other day! i work for going places as well)
which hotels have you booked?'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Thank you so much for helping
Yes I agree that review sites probably have no legal standing
The name of the hotel is Casablanca on the Ocean Miami
I have found another one called Crest Hotel which is also 3star(+) but sounds much better- perhaps I could switch to that0 -
By the way the vegas hotel is Excalibur
Will going places be open tomorrow, Sunday?0
