God confused!
Currently have descreasing life assurance with sicknes + unemployment this is a joint policy with the wife, though the 'payout' is weighted towards me as I'm the higher earner. This costs £380 per year (mortgage amount approx 60k with 18yrs to run).
Also wanting to change our buildings and contents insurance, looking around I can get cover with accidental cover (which I think is now worthwhile - 2 young ones in the house!) Currently pay 309 per year for both biuldings and contents (without accidental cover).
Is there a broker/IFA service (like when looking for a mortgage) to help get the best deal and make sure the cover is sufficient? Trying to work it out esp with dependants if you get it all wrong is getting pretty stressful! Desperatly trying to reduce outgoings to give us more money to throw at the mortgage

IFAs. do a postcode search at www.unbiased.co.uk . Do not filter by any other area as the filtering is highly flawed (pick a qualifcation for example and it will only show people with that qualification and not higher).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
