Hotpoint - Can I claim for clothes eaten by my washer/dryer?

Hi there
I have a hotpoint washer/dryer which is eating my clothes - I have arranged for an engineer to come and look at it under the warranty (getting someone to come out has been v. difficult and frustrating - but thats another story:eek: )
The thing is - so far the washer has put holes on at least 350 pounds worth of clothes. I didnt keep them at first, but have at least the last 8 items. Does anyone know if I can claim back for the lost clothes?
Any advice would be appreciated!

they may argue that you continued to use faulty appliance knowiing it was damaging the clothesBaby Milk Action is a non-profit organisation which aims to save lives and to end the avoidable suffering caused by inappropriate infant feeding.0

thanks - the only thing is that its taken me 4 weeks to get someone to get out because they only work in my area two days a week, so in the four weeks, so far another three items have been 'chewed'.
Im sure this was a fault with Hotpoint years ago (mayb e on Watchdog or some similar programme) - I'll try to look into it a bit more. Its just really frustrating - the washer only seems to 'eat' n ew clothes - leaves the more tatty things alone !!0 -
You'll have to ask them - usually companies want to inspect the damage, and the washing machine before deciding whether or not to pay.
Alternativly, have you looked into claiming on your household insurance?0 -
good idea - will try that after Ive tried with Hotpoint themselves (but I dont hold out much hope!)0
