New sofas for Xmas! Can anyone help?

Options
Does anyone know where I can get sofas delivered before Xmas? I think I may have left it too late. :(

Looking for leather, not too expensive.

You are probably stuffed - most are made to order at least at the cheaper end so unless you can pick up showroom samples you are left with the expensive "craft" makers who might have stock on site. That said if you have a warehouse furniture type place you might find something in stock and in the sale as an end of range etc but your choice will be very limited and so you'll probably end up with something you don't want.

My OH and I saw some nice leather sofas at Homebase when we were browsing yesterday. Their website says they do home delivery from 7 days on some of them (it's 28 days on others) so maybe they have stock of some ready to deliver?

Any local outlets near you? We have a large independent furniture shop in town which stocks expensive brands, but over the road they have a clearance warehouse where they sell off ex-display stock. I think you'll need to look for something like this to get them delivered in time, but you'll obviously have limited choice...
  • Thanks for your replies, I'd really like to buy them as new though.
I've found some very good prices on the Internet and would rather not have to drive around.

Can anybody recommend some websites I can look at who they've used before? I'd like to buy from a recommended shop as it's a lot of money. Don't want to take a risk so close to Xmas.

i wouldnt trust any site that advertises a leather sofa for 269 quid.

its impossible to get a real 100% leather sofa for that price.
they are breaking the trades description act for a start.

try here. in stock and delivery within 7 days.
    or cash and carry.

Plus on whois - that domain has no address and claims to be non-trading. Not the actions of an honest company.
