I hope this is the right forum, if not please move it
I bought a bed recently from them, and they said it would take about 3 weeks to get it delivered. I got a call after a week saying it would be delayed further, and I decided to cancel and buy it elsewhere.
Their main number is 0845 which costs 25p/min from my mobile. I tried the say no to 0870 alternatives but they didn't work - I was on hold for 10 mins followed by 'mailbox is full' and being disconnected.
I e-mailed them (as it says on their site, you can cancel by email) and cancelled my order. I got a reply saying it had been cancelled, and I would be refunded within 72 hours.
This was a couple of weeks ago. I am miffed they took the money out the moment I placed the order. I've been on hold to their 0845 number for ages (got a family member to call on their land line) but can never seem to get through.
I bought the item with a credit card so I can presumably do something about it but it sounds like a terrible pain. I wouldn't recommend this retailer to anyone. I am just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem?

Please don't shoot the messenger.

I thought that they'd gone bust - but if Wikipedia is to be believed, a company called Lewis's bought the rights to the name and a few of the stores from the admimistrator earlier this year. So past experiences with the store might not be helpful.
Did you place your order online, over the phone or at a store ?0 -
I finally got through after a while and they are going to refund it... (again...) so we'll see. I placed the order online
What did you mean by don't shoot the messenger? :j0
