Holiday Inn, Glasgow Airport

Thinking about booking into the Holiday Inn at Glasgow airport purely because of it's closeness to the terminal. Is is really only a 2 minute walk as advertised or is this artistic licence, lol? There are several of us from the very young to the very old and it would save faffing about with transfers etc. if we could just stroll to the terminal instead.
Is it really noisy because of the planes which would mean we wont sleep and we're paying to just sit in a room with a bed or is it well sound proofed and not too much of an issue?

For a split second a long distant memory of trying to sneak supermarket cheap booze into a dear club when we were young popped into my mind there. wonder if they frisk you at the holiday inn? :rotfl:0 -

Lol.
Don't suppose there are such things as discount codes for holiday inns?0 -
we have stayed at the holiday inn express a number of times. it is literally a two minute walk too. they do a good deal with inclusive car parking. and we have checked in and then went back for breakfast before going through to the departure lounge
very handy
cant say we noticed any noise on any of our stays.x x x0 -
As dogrose, we have stayed at Holiday Inn Express just down the road from Holiday Inn and every time all went well. Their prices are always good https://www.priorityclub.com) and they offer a good deal on car parks. As above, we normally check-out of the hotel, walk across carpark to Terminal building to check-in for the flight then walk back (literally 4 minutes) to get the breakfast that comes free with the room.0

should have mentioned too, they bring the car back to the hotel for you at the end of the holiday. pick up keys from reception and you are back on the M8 before you know it. no waiting for minibuses to take you to off site carparks.x x x0

What a good idea to check in for the flight then go back for brekkie.
That will use up some time between check in and boarding.
Thanks for your help everyone, I've just booked this morning (rooms and parking) so that's something else crossed off my to do list.
Just need to sort out Orlando car hire now.
I'll need a holiday after the stress of trying to make sure everything is just right for all in our party. It's not fun.
