Income Protection for young couple ideas?

My daughter and hubby want to get Income Protection cover, tried the insurance section of this board but nothing there for that. They are employed and just 21 but want to cover themselves for all eventualities. Anybody got any advice on good policies?

Its not as simple as that. PHI policies vary with the providers both on what is covered, how the price people and how they treat claims.

Its not like life cover or household insurance in that it is quite straight forward (although both of those can have multiple levels of cover within them).

Someone like Skandia may have the best cover available but they generally come out most expensive. Ununprovident tend to come out cheapest but the cover offered with some (most) of their plans is rubbish. With PHI, you do tend to get what you pay for.

Just make sure you look at proper Income Protection (PHI) and not ASU/MPPI in disguise. Contact a good broker for some advice.
