This is not correct.

You have to be Ordinarily Resident and domiciled within the UK to be taxable on worldwide income as it arises.

Tom - I was not having a go at your shorthand, but seeing that there are some three to five million UK residents who are not domiciled within the UK, it is key to saving money that those who have family origins outside of the UK realise they can significantly save taxes.
