In that case, they are probably not down to the toolbar. Different people have very different views on what is and is not acceptable when privacy is concerned. Take me, for example: I surf with scripts and plug-ins disabled by default, block all 3rd party cookies and set all first party cookies to be deleted when I close my browser by default.DocProc wrote:Whenever I do a scan with AdAware I get lots of tracking cookies.
If tracking cookies aren't an issue for you, then that's fine; they aren't for most people... but you did ask.
BTW, I think you are confusing tracking cookies (set by 3rd party sites, normally advertisers who want to build up a profile of which sites you have visited etc for advertising purposes), with normal first party cookies which, for example, allow the sites you visit to identify you and remember your preferences.0
