Stoozing advise needed please.

Options
I'm thinking of giving this ago., so I thought I'd put all my finances down and let you good people give me some advise. I will have to wait a couple of months before I can put it into action as we're planning to move house and I'm not sure what stoozing would do to my credit score to get a bigger mortgage.

Anyway, my salary is £25000 and I currently have £2000 on an interest free credit card with Citi. I use an AMEX blue card for cashback which I always pay off in full each month (circa £1000 spend monthly with some Ebay trading I do on the side). I also have a mint card which my wife uses for the shopping, again for the cashback which gets paid off in full each month.

I have been using a credit card for 10 years now and have only paid interest once when I missed a payment.

Does anyone know how much I would be able to Stooz and what credit limits I would be given. I'm a part qualified accountant working in the civil service so my salary will never go down.

My only "debt" is my mortgage other than the £2k above which is getting paid off gradually.

My wife doesn't work and I understand there is a form I can use from the inlandrevenue which means I can use her tax allowance on the savings.

Just generally looking for ideas of where to start. Any ideas???

The amount you can borrow depends on your Credit Score. You can read about it here.

There are too many factors to say how much of a credit limit you can get spread between various cards but for a rough figure let's say you can get an amount equal to your salary. Some will get more, some less.

Yes, if your wife does not pay income tax then any savings in her name can have the interest paid without the normal tax deduction. Just ask the company she saves with for an R85 form to fill in.
