Are you sure you want to log out?

Probably raised previously:

Yes I'm sure. Why else would I click the 'Log Out' link? (Which, IMHO, is too 'hidden' - other sites have it at the top of the page.)

Why do I need to confirm it?

(This is on public PC's where I need to log out manually - this is the only site that feels the need to keep me here - other sites presume you clicked it on purpose, and even if it was accidental, it's not as if it's difficult to log back in.)

As far as I'm aware, most vBulletin based discussion forums do that by default.

All the ones I've used do.

    Certainly not only MSE.

It's not exactly difficult to log out either though is it?

Doesn't Windows ask you to confirm when you want to close it down? Doesn't Firefox ask if you want to save your tabs when you want to close it down?

You're making an issue of something so minor that I'm baffled that you would spent your time complaining about it to be honest. Just press OK when the box appears.
Come on, it's not rocket surgery is it?

Once you've located how to do so, no. It's simply annoying, however, to do it when no other site I use does this.
Doesn't Windows ask you to confirm when you want to close it down?
Actually, no. It doesn't. It gives you a list of ways you'd like it to close down.
Doesn't Firefox ask if you want to save your tabs when you want to close it down?
    No it doesn't.

You're making an issue over my comment about something I find annoying. Wouldn't your time be better spent on other threads that ire you more?

But as you've said, this one does. Deal with it, it's not an issue worth changing the site over because it gets on your nerves.
    No it doesn't.
    Yes it does.

You find it annoying? How terrible for you.

It's likely a simple toggle switch. Not a universe shattering thing to change.

    Yes it does.
No it doesn't. At least after the first time it appears if you can read and know what to do.
You find it annoying? How terrible for you.
Well quite. It *is* annoying. How terrible that you find the time to spend to complain about people complaining about it.

It's an opinion. People are allowed to have them you know. While I respect your right to complain about me complaining, I don't expect to be castigated about it.

However I do wonder why you feel the need to complain about people complaining. Aren't there threads elsewhere where you can complain about people complaining about others complaining about people complaining?

Where's the 'rolleyes' gif when you need it?

Not on this site, but I would have found it very useful on other sites where I've accidentally clicked on Log Out instead of something else near it

I'm not complaining. I'm pointing out what a stupid and minor issue you've taken the time to raise with the board administration over a fundamental feature of the board software simply because pressing an okay button when you logout annoys you.

Good that you respect my opinion though. Well done to you.
I don't expect to be castigated about it.
How needlessly dramatic. Castigated! You poor thing! :rotfl:
Where's the 'rolleyes' gif when you need it?
It got removed because people found it annoying that they had to click on it.

    Some people eh?

    Hidden?

It's at the top of the page, next to "Quick links"
