I hate the amount of plastic morrisons uses (and possibly the 3 other supermarkets) for their vitamins, you get like 30 vit C tablets and they dont even fill half of the container, echinacae for example has 30 small tablets and the container is a waste of plastic, could they not use another material to store the tablets in, what can you use the containers for

I use the containers for buttons, paper clips, safety pins, the things you use to fasten electric wires round the wall, screws and lots of other small things. I usually stick/tape one of the item on top to show what is inside.
I agree though, the containers are much too big for the contents. Boots do it too.0 -
Those 2/3 empty containers have always annoyed me too. *grr*0

It's annoyed me too, sometimes I've used them as spice/herb containers.Honorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. I assume the reason the bottles are too big is because they use one standardised size whether it is for 30, 60, 90 or 120 tablets in order to produce them cheaper. Moulds and tooling are expensive and plastic is cheap.
I used to buy vitamin tablets from a cheap shop that sold them in polybags but it shut down. I don't know why other shops never sell them like that. Possibly they should be kept out of light. Also they usually come in bottles with child proof caps and polybags aren't childproof.0
