Hat and Scarf in one

Does anyone know where I can get a tasteful Hat and Scarf in one?

I would love to send one in to school with my DD and fear if I send her in with a separate hat and scarf at least one will go missing.

The only ones I can see are fake fur, I was thinking more a knitted version.

If you have seen one please do pass on a link

Many thanks

The easy way to make a hat and scarf in one (and it works with most fabrics) is to fold the scarf in half so the short edges meet - then stitch down from the middle about six inches for a child. you then have the hat part with two long ends which can be tied under the chin or if the scarf was long enough wrapped around the neck and chest area!

mum always did this for us - for the same reason you want one! seperate hats always go missing - its a universal law or something. lol.

I've seen stalls in a couple of shopping centres selling knitted animal hats and scarves in one. Might be worth a look next time you are out shopping.
Here I go again on my own....
  • Primark have them. I bought some for my daughters, and one for my aunt for Christmas. These are woolly and in a range of colours, I think they were about £5.

I was going to say I saw a girl trying one on in Primark and it actually looked rather nice! :)
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
  • I was in Dunnes yesterday and they had one that had ears and a bear face, and the scarf bit hung down from the sides
