Airline ticket undercharged

in Credit cards
Hi. 27th October I have purchased an airline ticket online and ticket was emailed to me.. Three weeks later i have noticed that the same airline tried withdraw more than double the amount I have originally paid for the ticket. the transaction didnt go through because insufficient funds. I did contact my bank and put stop on that credit card.
The next day again the same airline tried to withdraw the same amount i have paid for my ticket.
Next day I have received an email from the airline saying that they undercharged me the first time (they charged me only 1% of the ticket price) and I have to pay my ticket in full.
Now tell me where do I stand. Can they demand full payment for my ticket?
Can they cancel my ticket?
Is it legal to access my credit card account three weeks later without my permission?
My flight leaves 18th December.
Thx Bob

If you havn't paid the full price for the ticket, they are entitled to charge you for the remainder.0

Where was the ticket to/from? If they have only charged you 1% of the actual value, and It's a long haul, i'm guessing you must have known you that the fee was incorrect...it would be like charging you 15 quid for a return flight to NYC...0

I would expect that you need to sort this before you get to thr airport or expect to be denied entry.Sealed pot challange no: 3390

Let me get this straight. First of all they charged you 1% of the correct price. Then they tried to withdraw "more than double" what you originally paid so that's an extra 2% of the ticket price. So they are still only trying to make you pay 3% of the ticket price in total. Or have I misunderstood?Hi. 27th October I have purchased an airline ticket online and ticket was emailed to me.. You have to pay your ticket price in full, otherwise, no ticket.0

If you expect to get on the plane on the 18th you'd better make sure you pay for your ticket.0

It's a good job forums like this exist, to answer the seemingly insurmountable question of "If I want to get a plane, do I need to pay for my ticket?"
God only knows how anyone would have figured out the answer before the internet came along. Presumably we all just turned up randomly at airports and tried to push our way on.0 -

This is an example of what can happen if you don't have a ticket.
