    Ive never had so much trouble even if i write a letter i g et several letter s back saying the same thing. If i call they havent a clue what im talking about!

    If I were in your position, I'd tell them where to stuff their current account and close the account - making sure your other dd and so's are transferred before you close the account!

    My SD had something similar happen with Lloyds TSB - they regularly took her Lloyds CC payment from her account and that was without a Standing Order or a Direct Debit.

    I was at the branch with an agent for 45 minutes trying to unravel it. But we were told as she didn't have the DD set up properly to pay it then they would just take the money and were allowed to do so.

    If I were in your position, I'd tell them where to stuff their current account and close the account - making sure your other dd and so's are transferred before you close the account!
    Though they may have to also arrange a new loan as well if a condition for the loan is that it is paid from an HSBC current account.

    Why keep writing then? Have you been to branch and asked them to clarify the situation?
