    Hi all,

    Just to follow up, this is now sorted, I took him to court and just seconds before we went into the court room he saw sense and said he would redo the work at no extra cost (which he did). I'm convinced (as I did my research, got a strong case together, checked his assets, etc) that I would have won and got my money back if it went any further. He was hoping I didn't have the balls (actually I was a mushroom cloud laying mofo...).

    <dig>
    I'm just glad I didn't listen to Vax as I would have lost out, needs to read up on consumer rights :p

    I think most people on MSE don't 'listen' to vax2002! It's a shame newbies sometimes do though.

    Well done.

    What did you tell the Judge? Really hope you haven't withdrawn the claim until the work is performed satisfactorily.

    Equaliser,

    I kept the claim open until the work was finished just in case (its now finished).

    So its all good.

    Our occasional legal (perhaps) member returns. Struggles a bit with the concept of evidence that has not been asked for or presented.

    Good stuff. The Court may make an order suspending the case with liberty to restore.
  • Glad you got it sorted in the end.
