Afternoon all,
I have been reading threads on here in ernest and need to figure out what to change my cats onto, I've noticed they never drink water and are always hungry even after eating.
I always buy them this and really thought I was doing good it obviously not
I have two cats one is the most fussy cat that I have ever met and the other won't eat biscuits (I have tried them with royal canin?)

I wouldn't worry too much, there is moisture in the pouches, so they will be getting a little water from the food.
Are you positive they are not drinking?? I rarely see any of my 4 drink, although Murphy kitten loves water and is never out of it lol!
Where do you keep the water? Is it near the food? A lot of cats like the water to be away from the food itself, I do have a bowl there, but the dogs drink from it.
The bowl the cats drink from is in my upstairs bathroom.
Also make sure the water is changed at least once a day, cats like water to be as fresh as possible, even straight from the tap!0 -
General advice would be. Metal or ceramic bowls, several water spots around the house near and away from food and the basic;
Cats always want food when healthy.
I can feed mine a whole pouch each which they barely managed to finish but if I open the fridge and bring out ham, SUDDENLY there's room and they can eat twice their own body weight.
It's like a child too full to eat their greens but if you bring ice cream out they're suddenly not so full.
The best foods you're looking for contain a good 50% meat at least when it comes to wet food, cheaper alternatives are Whiskas Oh so meaty which isn't amazing but isn't terrible. Currently I feed mine on Natures Menu which has a minimum of 70% meat, missing all the horrible ingredients and is around the same price as something cheap like Whiskas or Felix but Felix isn't great. Anything that says something like "Min 4% meat derivatives" isn't giving you the full information and while wet food is still better than dry if you're looking for good quality that's what you want to avoid, you want something that gives you as much info about the ingredients as possible.

Not a horrible price difference for a better quality but both should be good for your cats at a cheap price, bare in mind it's cheaper to go into your local pet store and buy it there rather than online.0 -
Have you tried Butchers Classic? It's widely available and does't contain any grains etc. It's around the £2.79 mark for six (large) cans. I feed my cats this (plus dry) and they are all fit and healthy with nice shiny coats.0

If they are always hungry have you wormed them lately?Officially in a clique of idiots0

ours loves whiskas sensations, and will dive into those no problem, bit fussy on anything else, they also drink water (metal bowl, shares with the dog), and have access to dry food too.
Again fridge opens a sniff of cheese or raw meat or cooked meat, and you have a dog and 2 cats sat there watching.0
