The pilot light keeps going out

Hello,
The pilot light on a gas boiler goes out after about 60 mins (differs each time) and I have to re-light it. After that it works for more than 60 mins and after that the pilot light goes out again.
The radiators and hot water runs hot but then as soon as the light goes out the radiators comes cool.
I need some advice where is the problem?
Is it dangerous?

Are you certain its not an automatic boiler wher the gas automatically cuts off and pilot light comes on automatically when it restarts? can you google a model number and look up the manual/consult the manufacturer if unsure?
Otherwise any condition where gas continues to flow and the pilot light is out is potentially highly dangerous and should be looked at (re gas build up and explosion hazard).
Particularly if you can ever actually smell gas, get it looked at urgently and isolate the gas supply (at the mains stop valve if necessary)0 -
if your pilot light keeps going out it could be the wind or the pilot light pipe getting blocked up but it also could be the flame failure device that is faulty
on most boilers or fires if the pilot light goes out the gas valve shuts off the gas supply this is when the flame failure device does not get hot enough from the pilot light or if its faulty
so no gas build up will happen.
sounds like you need to have it servised to sort it out as it is not something you can do yourself
you need someone who is on the gas safe reg:0 -
When was the boiler serviced? It could be a blocked jet, or failing thermocouple.0

It is Apollo Gas boiler0

Why don't you just get it fixed?0

I called the engineer and he couldn't to find a reason. He told me to re-light it every time the pilot light goes off.0

Sounds like it is overheating. Possibly the pump over run stat in the boiler has had it0
