Not a good start with BG.

Recently signed up with them and was told my 1st bill would be in January. Because of their previous errors I was awarded £30 compensation which I would realise in my 1st bill, in January.

Why am I receiving a bill now, a month early when my compensation wont be realised?

Shall we forget this fake bill and try again next month?

I wouldn't just ignore the bill as they are never 'fake', I would however advise you to get in contact directly and ask what is going on (they're can be many reasons why a bill can be produced out of cycle). If they have offered compensation it is not applied "on a bills production", it is applied on a specific timescale, e.g. £30 to be applied 3 months later, will be exactly that, not whenever the bill is produced (it is usually timed that the credits will be applied before the billing window opens and the quarterly bill is produced)
