Wing Mirror & MOT

Hi All

I am due an MOT in two days, and some little £$%$$£ has managed to knock off my Drivers wing mirror when I was parked. The glass hasn't been touched, just the whole mirror is swinging loose. I've re-attached it to the car with waterproof duck tape and it is reasonably secure, however, will it now pass its MOT? Anyone know? I'm going to try and pop into a garage on the way home, but may be cutting it fine with time tonight

Thanks

Google 'MOT requirements for wing mirrors' and get loads of opinions...

    or...

Call into an MOT station and ask the tester for his opinion.

Do you mean your current MOT expires in two days? Why leave it so late?

I would have thought that if the mirror is secure then you should be Ok. Just my opinion of course:).

That's the MOT for wing mirrors, so if it's secure and you can see the rear of the car you 'should' be ok
  • Thanks all, I'll pop in tonight and ask (if I get home early enough)
