dvla shuts local offices

Given that they mainly sit working out how to dish out penalties to motorists for not filling in a form they never knew existed, loose the forms you give them so they can issue more fines, then sell our details to private parking scammers.
What do they want us to do ? Cry ?

I didn't make a generalisation, I clearly stated that my comments applied to only the DVLA offices that I have personally been to, except Cardiff.

It's not the local office staff that do that. That's the head office in Swansea.
While I too have reasons to dislike the local office staff, this particular reason is not valid.

of course you can do it by post but it can take up to 6 weeks and last time i changed it by posting to them the log book came back exactly the same ie still showing as disabled
a drive to the local dvla and i taxed the car as i stood at the counter

you cant beat one to one and sorting these like many errors dvla have done over the years at a counter,you should see my folder on errors that dvla swansea see have done but their final apology usually comes by phone rather than ink
