Balance transfer to barclaycard failing!

I have a barclay card that was an egg card, trying to do a balance transfer from another company (tried 2 others) but it gets rejected as they tell me the number is wrong. One person advised with barclaycard its a different number sometimes, I rung them but they told me its the same as on my card!

Help!!

I had exactly the same problem last week.
In the end I gave the company the old egg card number, and the balance transfer has gone through perfectly and appears on my barclaycard account online as expected.

Unfortunately I knew my egg number, CVV, and expiry dates off by heart
I think the full number used to appear on screen when viewing statements; but when printing (even to a pdf file), the middle 8 digits were replaced with *s. Only a screen print or some original documentation would show the original number.
