Well done!!!!!:j
We've still not quite been brave enough to do that!0 -
Scary feeling isn't it, to be without a "working" credit card?

Yep, we were terrified cutting up the Barclaycard as that one was still 'working', but we just simply can't afford to keep any credit cards going, can't even pay it off and it's a baby debt compared with the others and the loan.
Of course, in-between now and the 20th (pay day), I'll bet things will crop up when we think 'oh, if only we hadn't cut it up'Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

Well done :j
Thats one of the big steps done x0 -
Didn't quite do this but lost my purse and so cancelled my cards, my credit card address is still my mum's house so the new one got delivered there, haven't picked it up yet, it's one way to resist temptation completely. Thought I'd feel a bit lost without a backup but haven't yet (maybe the trauma of being without even debit cards for a week until they got delivered helped ease the shock).0

It was surprisingly scary.
Rest of the letters to creditors with £1 postal orders to be posted in the morning, and also the paperwork back to CCCS.
