hiya, yes me again.... if i didnt like my scenic i think i would something to it... as i said - its an interesting case.. As i mentioned i had it fully serviced, changed the egr and MAF sensor. It was ok for a few weeks (although i ve noticed that the fuel consumption wasnt as good as previously - according to the trip computer it got up to 51mpg on the motorway, where before at 60mph i had readings of over 60mpg.) Also after replacing the MAF - but not immediately my engine became very sluggish in low revs - i had to give more power and the engine felt like it was going to stall. I have just come back from a trip and in the middle of traffice the engine went into the limp mode again - in busy traffic!!! turned the engine on and off a few times - still in limp mode. i then disconnected the MAF and straight away it was ok. Bizzarily the sluggishness was back to normal, the fuel consumption on my way bk was better then with the MAF connected - around 54mpg!!
So i am now confused but at least i think i am trying to get somewhere. I really like this car but cant afford to have an unreliable car especially as my wife drives my recently newborn in it... Any ideas anyone... thank you for continued support!!

    Hiya,

Just to let you know - my scenic is now fixed!!! It was down to faulty injectors. took it to renault garage who identified that 2 injectors and 2 glow plugs were faulty. The garage quoted nearly £1200 and said that it may not be it!!! i got everything sorted for around £150 (including parts and labour - 2 second hand injectors).
The car now drives great and no sign of sluggishness and losing power!
    Thanks for your advice!!

Thanks very much for your advice!!
  • Hi
I'm hoping some body out there can help me on this one , I recently bought a scenic 1.9 dci and I now have problems , first of all the dash reads electronic fault then after about 10 seconds of starting it reads injector fault , no black smoke car runs sweet and quiet but when I put my foot down whether I'm just sitting still or driving after 10 - 20 seconds the car just shuts down , SOS !!
