airline network problem!!

hello all

we are going to new york in june and have booked our hotel through them at a very reasonable rate . the problem is that i emailed the hotel direct to confirm that 1-we had a reservation 2-we would be getting the times square view roon that we have paid for , the emailed back to say that they had checked our booking and that it was there but it was not showning as a times square view booking , they said that only airline network can have guaranteed views of times square and that when booking there are two catagories , one rate for a guaranteed view of times square and the other rate is obviously without the view , the hotel say that they have NOT booked a guranteed view for us , i am really annoyed about this , i have an invoice that states room is dbl/dbl times square view ?????? and the price ect , i have tried ringing airline network and have been on hold for 25 mins twice today , i have give up and will try monday now

I would suspect that Airline Network will say that the room wasnt not guaranteed, if it was make sure they reimburse the difference. However, I will say that the New York experience is not about the hotel necessarily. You will not spend much time there, apaprt from sleeping, and the experience is getting out and about. It is a fantastic city and Times Square is just a small part of it. Have a great holiday.

they advertised it as " dbl/dbl times square view " or "dbl/dbl city view " we obviously clicked on the times sqare view , whisch was more expensive , i would say this is false advertising , im disgusted . i understand what u mean about the hotel experience not being the be all and end all of the trip but i cant stand the thought of being ripped off !!!!!!! and as for them saying they cant guarantee times square views , i will promply post a copy of the email i recieved from the hotel because they state that airline network are the only agent they will guarantee views for .!!!!!!!!!!
