Direct debit - natwest

Hi, I recently changed banks from Natwest to lloyds. Checked Natwest online banking today & a direct debit has come out which I stupidly forgot to cancel!! There were not enough funds in account to cover but appears to have gone through just today.
Does anyone know if the bank is likely to honuor direct debit & charge me. Or is it likely to be reversed? Has anyone had a DD with Natwest & had similar situation as myself, if so, what happened? Many thanks for reading.

If you call telephone banking tell them you would like to cancel the DD and recall the payment. Normally the cut of time for reversals is 15.30. However they will be able to claim the money back under the DDI scheme.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
