My sister has yet another 2 for me and I finally got one of my own today (they're the BEST!). I can't believe how quickly the cash has built up and I've still got 3 months to go before my holiday. :j

Thanks Joyce, It is surprising just how they mount up when you put them in a jar, they otherwise would just have been used for normal day to day spends.I like this habit of saving them!!:)

Can I join please? I have been saving £2 coins in a sealed pot since the beginning of the year but hadn't realised there was a thread for like minded savers:)

I am not sure what I will use the savings for maybe towards Christmas or to add to the savings total I am aiming for in 2012. I haven't been counting them as I put them in so not sure what my total is. It will be a nice suprise:D

2 x £2 coins received in my change in B&M today added to the pot.

Hi everyone

It's been a mental week. Pleased to be relaxing today!

Wow, I've had a little flurry of the golden coins - x3 in one day and others the days before and days after. Now up to £30 Thank you Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Cafe Nero.

Also got a totally random bonus from work (they have never ever given them before). I think it's to keep us sweet as we've got redundancies on the horizon, but £390 before tax, I'm happy with that! Ended up at about £250 after extra tax and student loan payments, of which £145 I have used to pay off a loan to a friend, and the other £100 is going to part pay off another friend who I also owe money to.
