I've been a bit quiet on here lately as been busy celebrating my birthday, and as it was a big one, am dragging it out as long as possible!

Somehow in the last week and a half or so EVERYONE has given me £1 coins in my change instead of £2 coins, so it's been a bit of a dry spell. However on Sunday I nipped out just to get food for my kitty and got a lovely £2 coin in my change. That's the second time... cat food must be the way to go!

Instead of taking the £2 coin out of my purse straight away I forgot about it and left it in there - yesterday I had to pay £2.50 for parking and frantically used pretty much every coin in my purse to pay in change rather than use my £2 coin! It is now safely out of my purse and in its tin.

I'm now up to £16, with £30something in my tin from other savings also put in there.

Going away to West Sussex with friends this weekend for my birthday... I wonder if they'll have any more £2 coins there?!

Woo Hoo . . . . at long last on this special day . . . . I have potted 6 beautiful £2 coins in my tin!!! Can't believe it has taken me half way through February to get these and that was swapping £1 coins with my son in order that I could get my hands on those beauties!!!

Rooting through my purse for parking change and found a lovely golden coin nestled neatly in a corner. :jHe must have snuck in there unnoticed when I was out shopping yesterday.:D I have introduced him to the rest of his colleagues in the jam jar on the windowsill behind the curtain.;)
