I see a lot of you are new to the forums so please don’t hesitate to ask any questions; someone will know the answer. Pop back when you can even if just to say hi. The chat keeps us all motivated. Post #1 on this thread tells you the important info (I.e. to save £2 coins :T), post #2 I have updated to give you all a number. And don't forget to have fun whilst you are saving _party_
Hi everyone else
It's not a problem Snozberry!
Joyce63 £60 in only December?! Impressive!!
Nanto3girls – aren’t hubbys lovely:cool:!
Congrats about being on maternity Alwaysthebusybee! Hope you enjoy all the challenges. We all need to spur each other on so hearing everyone else’s news really helps
Evie451 I’m glad your DD is getting in the spirit of the challenge! I too think 500 coins would be pretty amazing and I think it would take a while! Good luck with the attempt though and yippee for bottomless handbags :rotfl:.
Well done on last year’s savings sazsimpson. Best of luck trying to beat it!
Hi Kezia. Been horrible here all day too, and doesn’t appear to be getting any better as I can still hear the wind howling and the rain lashing! Luckily I’m off work tomorrow so don’t need to battle up the motorway again in the morning.
I am trying to have a few more NSD’s too Polly wolly doodle, as I have a habit of buying food at work when I don’t need to. But that also makes me more determined not to spend any other money, so no £2’s for me today either.
£4 is most definitely a start mummy2mygirls. Other coins will be along in due course to make friends with them
What a nice cashier you have there clyndu. Some refuse to do that but I don’t see why. Every little most certainly helps.
You too seem to have found a nice cashier type man lemonpopsical. Care to share him at all?
Welcome Nthrop2012 to both the thread and the forum as a whole. There is tons and tons of useful information here so have a look around and see what appeals. And be mighty proud of clearing most of your debts – a fantastic achievement that will encourage others too. It is entirely up to you if you would like to add us to your signature (or anything else for that matter) but personally I like to see my number on thereIf you do want to change it then click on quick links, then edit signature and don’t forget to save any changes.
Fab chocolatedrinker, love a bargain, and mummy2mygirls.
Janiepopps – that lady is fantastic inspiration!:money: I hope she is a member here!
Hi loudmouth – just wondering if you would like me to put the coat on as a target?
Yes ZaraLH of course you can join. I keep my two totals separate for the challenges and only post my non £2 savings on the SPC thread. This just makes the totals fairer especially on those people who can’t afford to save every denomination of coin. We don’t do a total as such on here as the saving is more ‘ad hoc’ and you can spend it when you like. SPC aim for a specific date to open their pots and hence do a grand thread total. Hope that makes sense and is ok with you!
Surprises are always good mlbarrett
Hmmmmm Frogletina. Dilemma…..I guess if you took it out intending to spend it then didn’t, that you could add it in again this year? It’s only a little bit cheating…
Hi DizzyBrunetteGirl, having no target is fine. Good idea to save to pay your friends back. They will appreciate it and you will feel much happier I’m sure – so smiley face next time for trying to sort it out!
I HOPE I HAVEN’T MISSED ANYONE – MY INTERNET IS STILL BEING A BIT SILLY AND I GET CONFUSED WHERE I HAVE READ UP TO: any issues let me know
Stay safe from the weather everyone and be happy – the weekend is nearly upon us :jxxChallenge savings 2010-2016 £1564.60:j

Hi Nthrop - You sig looks fine to me. Sue (SPC thread) will be happy with that!
EDIT: Although actually do you have a load of spaces after what you wrote? The sig box looks very big for the writing you added?
For this thread we generally put £2 saver or £2 saver club member #?? etc- it is entirely up to you if you put anything else! Just have a look at what others put and see what you think. There is a limit to the size and number of smilies etc so don't get too carried awayChallenge savings 2010-2016 £1564.60:j

Thanks observer! I was talking to my oh earlier, we started a 1, 2 & 5p pot together and I asked him if he wanted to do a £2 pot with me as well and we'll put it towards something awesome and he said no.
Later on he was talking about how he plans to do the Cape Wrath Trail later in the year and he'll need to take a month out of work etc. I asked how he was going to pay for it all and he said 'I don't know'. I suggested he start his own £2 pot which he jumped at! I straight away gave him the tin I had ready for my coins
We'll make a saver out of him yet! xxJan '12 GC; £74.66/£100£2 saver club member #1070
