My collecting has finished for this year so my total is going to stand at £88 (which includes a partial refund of family borrowing from the stash).

I thought I had done well until I looked at the thread and read this. All I can say is wow.

Dont think that was done in one year though! Well if it was I am very impressed:D

  • Stopped saving for now have to buy things I need and want then will start saving up again after I have got everything don't think my family who are not here would want me to go without just so I can buy their headstones.
It's good to hear people are still saving am impressed with the person who saved 716 pounds and all the others.

  • Wow, everyone has done so well! I'm just about to go to the bank to make my final 2012 deposit (another £20 in £2 coins). I only wish I'd kept a better record as I don't know exactly how many I saved over the course of the year. My 'collection' of £2 and 50p coins paid for my holiday spending money and helped towards my tax billl, so it has definitely been a worthwhile challenge for me!

Thanks to all involved - see you all on the 2013 thread!
