Number 76 checking in! £94 in the pot since July (woohoo!) but still a looooooong way off what I need to pay the taxman come January 31st... Eeek!

Sorry I have been awol because I haven't had much internet access. I have basically given up this year as I have needed every penny to count. I might be able to start again from now until Christmas.

One little one for me last week but can't remember where from. The self service tills have it in for me and NEVER give me any £2 coins :mad:

Upto £144 now.. although only £4 physically in the pot as £140 been paid off those credit cards :money:

Hi, i was wondering if any of you £2 savers could advise.
I've been saving my coins since approx April and have done well, saving over £400 (not done final count yet!).
When I contacted the Halifax, I was told I can only pay in five bags per day, so that'll be a lot of trips :-(
We don't have any local shops to exchange it in - how do others get their cash?
Multiple bank visits?

I pay mine into the bank each time I get to about £20. 5 bags contain £100, so why not pay it in each time you get that much?

I would not want to have £400 just sitting in the house not earning any interest but I can understand people who don't want to know how much they have in coins until the end of their saving period.

Well done though with the amount you have saved.

I use my debit card a lot so without a lot of cash transactions I don't come across that many. However, if I get £10 out of the cash machine and I get £2 coins in my change I save them. It may stop me spending that day (always a good thing) but it may mean I need to go to the cash point again sooner than I would have done.

I do the same as Frogletina and bank it to pay off on the credit card as soon as I get to £20.

Well done on that super amount Dizzy! You must be the only collector in your area to get that many! :rotfl:

One little £2 for me which I bought off my friend yesterday lunchtime. We went to Subway she got 2 x £2 coins in her change and they gave me £1 coins :mad: She let me buy one off her as she's saving too :A

Pot now at £146. Off to update sig.
