At one time, the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world ;) I lived in Hull for a time. It was also at one time the most expensive bridge toll in the country. I'm surprised you only needed one! :D

Poor you ;) I live on the South bank. It's only the 5th or 6th now I think, it did hold the title for a pretty long time though. The toll got reduced to £1.50 each way in April, which is fab as it's now cheaper for us to get over there now with the price of petrol.
    I got another £2 yesterday :j

6 to take home from my holiday and put into the pot! :j

I'm really looking forward to opening it at the end of the year but I keep changing my mind about what I'm going to do with the money - I could spend it on Christmas, wedding anniversary, next year's holiday, savings...
I suppose it depends on what the finances are like as we approach Christmas.

What will you be doing with yours?

Hello gang! In July I emptied my pot (with a pair of tweezers!!) which I started in July when I joined this thread, and had a grand total of... £218!!! Which paid for my brand spanking new tattoo!! (with some money left over to pay for an old tattoo to be touched up). So my pot has now been restarted, £8 so far, won't touch it now till christmas!
2014: My hardest financial times ever as I complete my degree, and begin a Masters in September. I can do this!

  • I didn't know this thread existed and found it randomly!

I've been collecting £2 coins in a tin that you can only open with a tin opener! It has about £50 in there now.

These £2s are hard to find though what with so many people collecting them! I get really upset when i crack into a £10 note and there's no £2 in the change!
