Had to spend one yesterday smiley-sad044.gif on toll for the humber bridge.

At one time, the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world ;) I lived in Hull for a time. It was also at one time the most expensive bridge toll in the country. I'm surprised you only needed one! :D

Yay I got one in my change from Mr T last night - will be going straight into the pot tonight so no chance of it being spent images?q=tbn:ANd9GcScwEwz2z25WhTn0F-YTMjWe8JsO-K57oLqjTIJIFg0Z2ZK1Lt0FI1KqWY

I'm on holiday and nowhere near my pot. I'll have to take my two shiny coins out of my purse in case OH makes me spend them! :)

    Hide them!!

Do you have a zip pocket inside your suitcase? Then you just need to remember to empty it when you get home... Or you'll have a nice surprise months down the line when you're digging them out to use again ;)

Thanks Grand Benders! OH is quite good really - he donated one today - but he doesn't like it when I refuse to spend them if he thinks we need to. I've got three this week :)

Hi everyone. Well before I even look I can tell we are going to have a big roll of honour today – not least because I have 4 pages to catch up on!

But firstly a big £2 thread welcome goes to

    Firestronaut

    Imb4wcb

    Merlin and Me

    Time to face the music

    Imperfect_one

Welcome to this challenge – I will add you to the list on page one now, take a quick read of the first post as I’m sure you already have, then get those £2’s into those pots!!! And don’t forget to let us know how you get on. :T

So a big congratulations to the following people for finding some of those very rare (as they are all in our pots) £2 coins.

Dr Squeeze, golly1, If my penniesw ere pounds, dolphingazer, toriaterrier, mavvymoo, agnicham, deb4, badger, igamogam, grand benders, lemon popsical, Imb4wcb, Merlin and Me, Carlislelass, retiredandskint, elly68, black cat, amber03. Oh and me :rotfl:

If my pennies were pounds I would leave opening the pot till the week before – then you can have the surprise of how much you have to spend without actually giving in and spending it beforehand!!

Firestronaut I hope that we inspire you to save them instead of spending!!

That made me laugh igamogam, see daughters come in handy!

I’m surprised you only needed one as well badger. Or was it 1x£2 and 1x£10 lol

Get those coins hidden at the bottom of the suitcase black cat! :shhh:

Congrats folks and keep on saving! Everyone one that posts seems to be doing brilliantly in my eyes and at 8 months through the year we have LOADS of time left yet.

Let’s hope for beautiful weather for a few days xx
