You should complete the form honestly. Make an offer to pay.

complete the court form or they will decide for you, which could be more than you can afford. Most of all be honest
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

You won't go to jail for a debt - the only debt you can still go to jail for is unpaid council tax and even that is rare (ie not you can't but you refuse to pay).

If this is an official court paper which is stamped etc then DO NOT IGNORE this... Without being in any way funny about it please get someone to help you put together your defence - I don't know if your first post was just extremely rushed but it's very poor english and the last thing you want is any misunderstandings at this stage!

I would suggest you contact one of the debt charities in my signature ASAP as you are under a time deadline and if you don't respond they will win by default if you don't enter a defence. You do NOT want that!

First of all, what form have they sent out to you, who exactly sent it to you, and what exactly does the letter say?

Don't post up any personally identifying details - just it would be helpful to know more about what their correspondence says.

This wasn't Sechiari Clark and Mitchell (handily abbreviated as 'SCaM') by any chance, was it?

I have a gut feeling that this is exactly what it is, and if so, this is a standard DCA 'frighten and hope for the best' trick that so many people fall for.

And if the entirety of the balance is made up of charges, then something to take into consideration is that the whole 'bank charges issue' hasn't been entirely resolved for one side or another. There's a lot more info on this site about that side of things.

Please contact the court ASAP and find out exactly what this is and what you need to do.

Sounds like it could be an "order to obtain information" which can have serious consequences if ignored.

True for non payment the debt itself, but not not always true if you ignore an order from the court to attend and provide information. That would be contempt, and as such can be punishable by arrest/jail etc. Very unlikely, but a technical possibility all the same.
