Hello everyone, sorry for my absence yesterday, was not having a good day.

I love all the chatter on here, there's lots of inspiring ideas being thrown around and it means it's not just me waffling away to myself.

    I love you guys :kisses3: :D

Right, money updates - I had some sales on ebay yesterday so have a nice £22 to add to my total :T I've also got some stuff going out this weekend which is looking good too :j

    I've made a £4 pad today.

We had our notification of our new mortgage payment yesterday and it's gone down by over £100 per month :T :T :T :j :j :j so we will both be £50 a month better off which is very much needed at the moment.

The problem is that we are now on a variable rate and it is too risky for us to go for a deal at the moment, so we have to keep fingers crossed that things don't change too much in the near future, so we can get on track with things otherwise.

I am going to phone them up and see if I can get some details on how to overpay. I didn't think you could electronically with this mortgage, but having spotted a discussion on here the other day, it looks as though I can. So if I can get some electronic payment details I can chuck the odd £1 over here and there and that will make a small difference, even whilst I focus mainly on the other debts.

    Hope everyone is well :)

I managed to mess up postage on another ebay item  Not so significant this time thankfully, but I forgot to take into account that an item was a packet and not a large letter, so I've essentially paid them 20 -odd p to have my item

I think I'm fine on everything else though - just had another look.

Just redeemed for a £5 amazon voucher :j

My ebay sales for this weekend are doing well, so lets hope for a bit more before they go out.

Does anyone have any nice plans for the weekend?

    hi Jwil
Glad to hear about your extra money per month. Thats marvellous. Not nice when you make very little on an item. I think we all need to tread softly with these new ridiculous prices. No major plans for the weekend ... though intend to do some cleaning and gardening. What about you...any car boots?

Thanks ebayqueen :) I don't think the postal prices are too bad really, the only really painful one is if you have a lightweight but bulky item, where it is very expensive.

Hope you have a good weekend. We are heading off to the bright lights of Bristol and Bath today, and then maybe some booting tomorrow. Not sure really. I don't think we are going to the event DH wanted to go to tomorrow but he might change his mind yet.

Have a good one everyone :)

A few more items sold today including a couple of books I wasn't expecting to sell :T Something else I had listed, I reduced last weekend as it didn't sell, and it sold for more than I had listed it for originally  :j

Will work out what I've got once everyone has paid up.

    Hope everyone's had a good day x

  • Glad ebay sales have gone well, i have an item on at the minute that i was going to throw in the bin, OH told me to list it and its condition, it finishes today and has a few bids on it and 20 watchers, how mad is that, so glad i listened to OH for a change.

    Hi jwil and friends!!

EBay can be amzazing can't it we have just made 50% on an item we bought second hand 10 years ago from the paper. OH listed it in a momentof why are we hanging onto this? Yet other stuff doesn't go. Mad old world.

Sorry to hear jwil that last week was a bit out of sorts. I don't think the weather helps. Exercise definitely does! We try not to use the car for trips around town. In factOH has just walked kids and bikes to drop some of them off around a mile up the road, then is putting the remaining kids on the bikes to get to the next appointment. As you say it's exercise and given diesel is £1.50 a litre here it's worth it! Am also glad I swopped my car for a much more efficient diesel one.

Weekend is a mixture of jobs eg. Allotment and trying to have fun! Will tell you later whether the balance was right!!:rotfl:

Great news re the mortgage, that's a good saving and some commentators are saying that interest rates may not rise again until 2014. We are on a great variable linked to BOE base so I don't plan to change it for a while and in the meantime it is really helping with OPs. My bank lets me pay in electronically but it has to be £100 or more so I just save it up and pop it across then. Can you get any OPs back? Sorry if you've said!

Have a good day hun, hope you enjoyed the magic of Brizzle and Bath;)

    Hey everyone :)

Hope you've all had a good weekend.

It's always lovely when things you were going to throw away turn out great isn't it!

We've had a hectic weekend, didn't make it into Bath in the end as we spent longer than expected in Bristol.

Yesterday we were off gallivanting as well, and today I seem to have spent the whole day packing ebay sales. It's good that loads of stuff has gone, but it does feel like I've wasted nearly the whole day, and I'm not even finished yet!

Oh well, the post office are going to love me tomorrow, and there is loads of stuff leaving the house :T
