I don't go off roading but my car is a working car so I need a large car. I don't have a problem parking at the other end of the car park but what I am saying if I can do it why can't parent's with kids??

Lets face it cars aren't getting smaller parking spaces are getting smaller.

I just don't think it's right for people to be so protective about parking spaces. I hate going to the trafford centre and not finding a parking space aslong as you get a parking space what is the big deal.

I will happily park right down the other end of the car park for the chance of a bigger space.

My personal bête noir is trying to back out of a supermarket space if you're next to a 4x4. It's almost impossible to see what's coming along because the 4x4 is so high and doesn't have a lower bit at the back where the boot is on a normal car.

  • Then get a smaller car and be less of a petrol-guzzling idiot?

I think you missed my post about it being a working vehicle I need a large car. Also my car is pretty economic, but if I want to spend my hard earned cash on wasting fuel in my car I will do. You don't pay my road tax so what has it got to do with you if my car guzzles fuel or not I'm not asking you to pay for it am I??? Doesn't make me an idiot does it??

Because fossil fuels are a finite resource, and IMO not taxed highly enough.

That's in your opinion, but it's also my opinion that it's your choice to have kids and shouldn't be given priority parking over other people because you made that choice. It's not my fault you made that choice. But it's my choice to have a 4x4.

This thread is about parking spaces not how much fuel my car uses funnily enough :undecided

A working car? What's everybody else got then, ornamental cars?

Compared to mine yeah, I need a large car for my job, whilst other people have smaller cars for commuting to and from work. That is their choice if they want a small car but it's also my choice that I need a large car. I paid for it myself.

Like I said in my last post this thread is about parent and child parking spaces not the size of my car, how much fuel my car uses or what my car is used for.

So keep to the topic eh.

don't know about steph, but my ''working car'' does harrowing, field cleaning, and general farm maintaining as well as being our sole vehicle. Uses less fuel than a tractor, but is off road as often as on road these days.

Its not even about parking spaces, it about the total ignorance of some people,

perhaps as you made snidy comments about those with children you were considered fair game,
