Has anyone used Energylinx?
Hi, I've had a few phone calls recently from Energylinx and today the guy wanted to switch suppliers for me, saying he could get gas and electricity for me a lot cheaper. I didn't have my annual usage in Kws and he based his comparisons on what I paid by monthly direct debit (which I think are too low anyway and won't cover my usage)
Is it ok to do a comparison this way? He emailed me some comparisons and said he'd call back. He mentioned this site as a kind of reference for himself.
Any advice please?

He is on commision and you clearly have internet access, do the comparisons yourself, using annual kWh, and you do the switch, then you ensure that what is being quoted as an mdd is accurate. Also if use sites suchas quidco or topcashback, may even get money back for switching depending on company and tariff you decide to go for.0

I wasn't aware that Energylinx solicited for customers???
Without annual kWh figures it is only 'wet finger in air' estimates.
I wonder if it is someone using their name?0 -

Energylinx comparison site gives you £34 cash back for[gas/electric] paid direct into your bank after the switch on their site [when you put in your estimated kw for gas and electric and you have selected the cheapest provider on the comparison site to suit your needs] If you do it by the guy from energylinx on the phone you do not get the £34 quid0 -

energylinx have call centres in dundee and glasgow. they do call customers to solicit for business. your comment about not knowing that they cold call, and how you wonder if it's someone using their name is only going to scare customers when really energylinx are only trying to save the customer money.
you have to remember, energylinx is a comparison company. if they cant find you a cheaper deal, it's because there isn't one. it's not a scam, a con, or someone trying to swindle you. it's a company who firmly believes that customers should be paying a fair price for their energy. half the comparison websites out there for gas and electricity use energylinx's comparison tool. it's one of the most respected websites and businesses out there for energy comparisons0 -
