Nightmare Insurance Claim

Hi All,
I just wondered if anyone has had any dealings with Minster Law in relation to Motor Insurance Claims?
My husband and his co-workers were rear-ended in their work van about 14 months ago by a woman who just drove off after they helped fix her front bumper back on! They were lucky enough to get her reg number and reported it to their insurance company etc as although there wasn't any damage to their van (thanks to a huge tow bar) they were all suffering with neck/back pain. The insurance company put their law firm in touch (Minster Law) who have been dealing with the lads directly. However, despite getting to the point of being offered a settlement each (following lots of appointments/physio etc) and it being refused (as you do with the first offer) it now seems to be getting nowhere! My husband is constantly chasing Minster Law who keep using the same line of 'the other side are refusing to deal with it and I need to speak to my manager. I'll call you back later'. Of course later comes and still no call.
I have told my husband to report Minster to the Legal Ombudsman which he's about to do, but surely the Insurance company should be over-seeing the claim and sorting all this out? Any advice anyone?
Thanks

Injury is not covered by the insurance on the van itself and so the insurer themselves wouldnt be dealing with it.
If there is a legal expenses policy on the van then the solicitors will be acting under this and you would be entitled to complain to the insurer about the actions of the solicitors they've appointed.
It can also be the case that there is no legal expenses policy either and the insurer effectively just offered to introduce you to them as a no win no fee solicitor firm (in exchange for a referral fee) and as such your case against your insurer would be very limited as they arent acting under any insurance policy.0
