Hmrc phishing email

Received this phishing email, supposedly from refund (at) hmrc-login.co.uk, just warning people and wandering if anyone else got this (removed link, which was not to HMRC site)
You have received new message from HM Revenue & Customs.
Please follow the instructions in order to receive the tax refund that you have on hold.

Please follow the steps below.
http:// (www) .hmrc.gov.uk/refund-idxxxxxxx

    Yup I did........funnily enough I did get a VAT refund this month! But totally nothing to do with this email :D

    you have to be on your guard all the time, I know sooner or later I will click somewhere I shouldn't, but as long as it asks me to log in and doesn't download anything automatically I should be OK, as I don't log in from emails.

    Let's hope nobody (or at least not too many people) fall for it...

    this is also wrong as just clicking on a link can release a trojan/virus onto your computer

    yes it can, but less likely to happen (particularly if you have a good up to date antivirus) compared to a 100% chance of being scammed if you give them your details, I know which one I'd rather do
