Thanks for replies everyone. I guess you're right in that theres no harm in trying. But i do not think its worth that because of how old fashioned it is. The one that previously sold was not that bad. It would require a newer kitchen from the looks and definately new carpets in the lounge.
I guess ill wait until Feb and see what has happened.0 -
I went in extremely low, on £125k property with planning to more than double the size of it. Offered £85k. The owner had bought it for £185k 3 years ago. £100k loss...that was taking the !!!!. However he came down to £110k almost right away. Im waiting until Feb/March aswel then i may go up slowly to £100k but no more.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

I thought I was the only one mad enough to be looking at houses before even putting mine on the market! We have to make quite a big move up and are looking at 4 beds, but I have seen a lovely 4 bed in the area we want 20k out of our price range. If it is still on the market when ours has sold (whenever that may be - can't out it on the market until Feb) I will so be making a cheeky offer.Grab life by the balls before it grabs you by the neck.0

I am a FTB living at home so for me it's a little easier!

I take it you'll be happy to accept a cheeky offer on your current property then...0
