Can anyone recommend a nice mulled wine

I usually buy mulled wine from M & S but this year they have increased the price so much, it is now £6.99 a bottle and I think it was about £3.99 last year.
I see Tesco and the other supermarkets also do their own mulled wine and was wondering if anyone can recommend any as being half decent.
Many thanks

Tesco's is nice too. I still have six left from last year - nicely matured!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Gluhwein is excellent. You can get it in Lidl or Aldi. It works well without adding anything because it has fruit and spices in it but you can add a little extra to it to suit your own taste.0

Thank you all for replying, all of them cheaper than M & S (but must admit its really nice but won`t pay the price they are asking). We have tesco and Aldi both 5 minutes away.0

I'd buy a cheap red on 3 for £10 and make my own with orange, cinnamon, cloves and star anise. Everytime I open the cupboard with the spices something falls out, so using them up is a god thing!Eating Out of the Storecupboards Challenge.

I`d dread it tasting awful! which I could guarantee it would if I made it.0

No it would not. just go easy and add the spices slowly.

Or buy sachets?

Thanks, didn`t realise you could get sachets - that makes it a lot easier. I`ll look out for them when i go shopping as I already have a good supply of red wine ready for Christmas.0

Buy the cheapest and most God-awful red biddy you can lay your hands on and follow any recipe for mulled wine/Gluhwein and I'll guarantee you never buy it made up again.0 -
Thanks, you make it sound so easy.0
