Full rewire nearly done.What Paperwork/Certs do I ask Sparky for?

We are coming to the end of renovating our run down House (That we intend to rent out after Christmas). Amongst everything else, the House has had a full re-wire. The first fix is done and the Sparky is returning on Thursday to do the 2nd fix and finish off. What Paperwork or Certificates do I need to ask him for? I'm sure there must be some building regs certificates and NIC Paperwork.
Thanks all.
Thanks all.

We got given some nice laminated report cards from the second firm who came and tested the first firms work who did the re-wire (good idea if you ask me).
This its part-p you need to ask for.0 -
Sparky will give you an EIC (Electrical Installation Cert) which includes STR (Schedule of Test Results). He will notify his Part P scheme provider, you will see a LABC* Building Regs completion certificate from your LABC in a few weeks. This is all assuming you used an electrician registered with a Part P scheme provider and aren't liaising with LABC for yourselves (and paying the fee...)
* LABC = Local Authority Building Control dept.0 -
Part P. most likely is for your sparky to be a member of a self-cert scheme (http://www.communities.gov.uk/planningandbuilding/buildingregulations/competentpersonsschemes/existingcompetentperson/)and they'll send you a certificate.
From memory replacements and minor works outside the kitchen and bathroom are exempt, so you should get a cert with a brief summary of works undertaken (e.g. complete rewire).0 -

Re-wire is Part P notifiable works. The OP should get exactly what I said in my post.0 -
How much does the test cost?0

...and a Schedule of Inspections..."Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

Anyone competent to do the work (ie registered with a competent persons scheme, Part P as mentioned) will know what certificates they need to provide, without you having to ask them. If they aren't registered, no amount of asking will do any good as they cannot provide what you need.
Check their registration asap.0
